First week
Thursday, December 1, 2005The first day of training involved an introduction to the company policies and the internal workings of payroll. If course they immediately went to the good stuff, like how much we are gonna get at the end of the month. These people do know what our priorities are. Unluckily for my team our first day is also the cut-off day for that period so on the 30th all we are getting is the equivalent of 1 day less government deductions. Bummer. But at least we accomplished all forms and after a week later have our ID badges and ATM cards in hand.
The rest of the week was spent learning to compose and reply letters and responses in the most businesslike manner to the "customer". That was a bit of a breeze-through for me as I handled that kind of work with ePerformax before under one of their projects.
